Parking was close by and mostly covered which was a plus in the snow. We had a nice view of the lake from the Heavenly Tower but the pool (and hot tub) were closed for the winter. However it is still the old bones of the horizon which means the rooms and the bathroom are small. The rooms have been redecorated and the decor and furnishings are great. It definitely has a more exciting 'vibe' and there are concerts performed there on weekends etc.
It used to be the Horizon Hotel but has been remodeled and rebranded as the Hard Rock. Recently stayed for 4 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel in South Lake Tahoe / Stateline.
